• Additionally, for Pro users, we collect:
  • URLs of YouTube videos you engage with through our platform.
  • Conversation history related to those videos.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To manage your account and subscription services.
• To store and display your conversation history for Pro plan users.
• To provide context for your interactions with YouTube videos within the extension.

We do not use your information for any other purpose, such as marketing, advertising, or sharing with third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

All user data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud service provider that complies with industry-leading security practices. We implement robust security measures, including encryption and restricted access protocols, to ensure the protection of your personal data.

4. Conversation History

For Pro plan subscribers, we store conversation history to enhance your user experience. This allows you to:

• Review previous conversations with YouTube videos.
• Continue ongoing discussions with the same video.
• Delete any stored conversation from your history at any time.

Please note that users on the free plan do not have access to the conversation storage feature.

5. User Rights

As a user of ChromeAsk, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access and modify your profile information: You can update or change your name, email address, and avatar at any time.
• Delete conversation history: Pro plan subscribers can delete any stored conversations from their history permanently.
• Account deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data, including saved conversations.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any other tracking technologies within the ChromeAsk extension. Our goal is to provide a privacy-conscious service that does not monitor or collect data on your browsing activity.

7. Use of External Services

The only external service we use is Supabase, which securely stores your data. We also utilize a server endpoint hosted on our platform to manage the retrieval and storage of conversation history for Pro plan users. No third-party services or vendors are involved in handling your personal information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices or relevant legal requirements. In the event of significant updates, we will notify you directly through the ChromeAsk extension or via email.
